Light greenish and yellowish colour. ...would anybody like a perfume in a chalice? Here you are, aromas of rose orchards in blossom, spring violets, hyacinth and a pinch of nutmeg. Spicy acids in the taste, reminding of taste of kiwi and green apple. Glittering, piercing, waiting to be tamed that comes when the chalice of this libation is finished.

Noria? Many of you will surely ask what is this wine about? So you should know that it was created in Slovakia by new breeding in 1974. That happened in the former Vineyard and Winery Research Institute in Veľký Krtíš, and even more precisely in the branch Opatovská Nová Ves.
This variety was created by the breeder A. Foltánová by crossing of Rizling rýnsky with an old French variety Semillion. Noria is clearly ranked among highest quality varieties, it prevails Rizling rýnsky in many attributes. Wines made of it are harmonic with light acids and aroma rather resembling Semillion. Our Noria 2015 had physiologically healthy grapes with perfect balance of sugars and acids. After milling it, it was fermenting in skin in the maceration tank at a lower temperature for 20 hours and then it was fermenting in a stainless tank. After the end of fermentation, we have drained rough yeast deposits. Then it was stirred on smooth yeast deposits for six months.
It remained untouched for other three months, only then clarification, fine filtration and bottling followed.
We are really sorry. „Noria 2016“ is unfortunately sold out. Bottling of the next vintage is planned in the March 2018.
